

As part of the European project ARTVOC (HORIZON-MSCA/040606), MGM STAR CONSTRUCT SRL carried out a scientific visit to the Department of Electronic, Electrical, and Automatic Engineering at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV).
The MGM STAR CONSTRUCT delegation included Dr.Eng. Mohammed Alqasim Alsabti, Dr.Eng. Alaa Abou Harb, and Mr.Olimpiu, reflecting the company’s active involvement in European research and innovation projects under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) framework.
During the visit, the team had the honor of meeting Prof. Eduard Llobet Valer, a leading expert in advanced sensor technologies, who presented the department’s ongoing research activities and introduced several cutting-edge innovations currently under development in the laboratories.
The delegation was also guided through the NANOMISENE Laboratory (CRMN) by a PhD researcher specializing in nanosensors, who provided detailed explanations of the experimental systems, methodologies, and research scope. The visit offered valuable insights into state-of-the-art nanosensor platforms and their applications, closely aligned with the objectives of the ARTVOC project.
In addition, the team met Mr. Mohamed Samir, a graduate student working on a research topic closely related to the ARTVOC project, opening further opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaborative research.
This scientific visit strengthened the collaboration between MGM STAR CONSTRUCT and URV, reinforcing the link between academic excellence and industrial research, and supporting the successful implementation of Horizon Europe–funded innovation projects.
