MGM STAR CONSTRUCT SRL participated in a specialized session organized by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), held on April 29, 2025, at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
The company was represented by a joint team consisting of Dr.Eng. Mohammed Alqasim Alsabti, Dr.Eng. Alaa Abou Harb, and PhD candidate Chiheb Walleni from Universitat Rovira i Virgili, highlighting MGM STAR CONSTRUCT’s active engagement in international research and high-technology collaboration.
During the session, ESA presented its Space Safety Programme, which aims to safeguard Earth and space infrastructure against growing threats such as space debris, space weather, and near-Earth objects (NEOs). The programme emphasizes the development of advanced monitoring, mitigation, and sustainability technologies to ensure long-term orbital safety.
Technical and scientific presentations addressed ESA’s current and future missions, including the Hera Mission, as well as international cooperation in planetary defense, orbital sustainability, and the emerging concept of a space circular economy.
The session also provided an important platform for direct interaction between Romanian industrial stakeholders and the ESA programme team, enabling discussions on collaboration opportunities and participation in future European space projects under the CM25 framework, which is expected to be presented at ESA’s Ministerial Council later this year.
Through its participation, MGM STAR CONSTRUCT reaffirmed its commitment to advanced engineering, space-related technologies, and international collaboration, supporting Europe’s strategic objectives in space safety, sustainability, and innovation.
