

MGM STAR CONSTRUCT SRL took part in the The Successful R&I in Europe 2025, organized by Zenit Center for Innovation and Technology and hosted in Düsseldorf, Germany. The conference is one of Europe’s leading platforms for research, innovation, and collaboration under Horizon Europe.
The company was represented by Dr.Eng. Mohammed Alqasim Alsabti and Dr. Alaa Abou Harb, who presented cutting-edge research in plasma technologies for medical and industrial applications.
Dr.Eng. Mohammed Alqasim Alsabti presented research on plasma-based fabrication technologies for medical implants, focusing on the synthesis of fiberglass-reinforced hydroxyapatite coatings on titanium alloys.
The innovation enhances biocompatibility, osseointegration, antimicrobial resistance, mechanical durability, and compliance with ISO 10993, targeting high-performance orthopedic and dental implants. Advanced plasma deposition techniques such as magnetron sputtering and thermal spray coating were employed to develop multifunctional bioactive coatings.
Dr.Eng. Alaa Abou Harb presented research on innovative plasma spray-based metallic coatings for welded joints, with a strong focus on marine applications.
The work utilizes High-Entropy Alloy (HEA) coatings to significantly improve corrosion resistance and durability in harsh environments, offering scalable and cost-effective protective solutions for shipbuilding, aerospace, automotive, and infrastructure sectors.
Through this participation, MGM STAR CONSTRUCT reaffirmed its commitment to research-driven innovation, advanced engineering solutions, and sustainable industrial development.
